The United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) are organizing a series of open lectures on a regular basis at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, entitled The Geneva Lecture Series. The lectures aim to foster awareness of a number of pressing global challenges among audiences in Geneva and beyond, with a focus on how each individual can contribute to resolving such challenges (Concept Note).
The eight lecture, delivered by Mr. Martti Ahtisaari, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and former President of Finland; and Mr. José Ramos-Horta, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Guinea-Bissau and former President of Timor-Leste, on the topic "Complexities of Peacemaking: Untold Story" will take place on Wednesday, 13 November from 16:30 to 18:00 at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.
